When I was little I loved reading cookbooks more than the average 5 year old.  By the time I was six I was pushing a chair up to the stove to make my own omelet.  In high school I was throwing dinner parties for friends, coming up with my own creations.  In my twenties I discovered America’s Test Kitchen and became obsessed with every method and cooking technique they had to teach (vodka in a pie crust?!  I could talk about the science of that for days).

My love for cooking and appreciation for quality ingredients has only grown throughout the years.  I just moved back to Boston after four years of living in the stunning English countryside and traveling throughout Europe.  Living and eating abroad was an eye opening culinary experience .

I follow a healthy, mostly Paleo lifestyle, so many of my recipes follow this formula. However, I love carbs…a lot.  Pasta is my vice, baking bread is my therapy and I love whipping up a batch of margaritas and tacos on a Friday night.  These things will never change.

Thanks for coming along with me on my food journey, it is going to be delicious!

I will end with my favorite quote…this is what it is all about…

“When you acknowledge, as you must, that there is no such thing as perfect food, only the idea of it, then the real purpose of striving toward perfection becomes clear: to make people happy, that is what cooking is all about.”

– Thomas Keller, The French Laundry Cookbook
